Dragon Soul Raid Guide
Boss 1: Morchock
Hello and welcome to Naz’s raid guide of Normal Morchock, the first boss of 4.3 patch raid: Dragon Soul.
Morchock is a pretty easy fight and won’t take you too long to get a grasp of. This is a one tank fight and you really shouldn’t need more then two healers.
Morchock has a few abilities. First of which is Stomp. Dealing 750,000 damage to all players in 25 yards, 2 closest players to Morchock will receive double the amount taken. (just have a melee dps take the harder hit, it won’t kill)
His next ability is Crush Armor; Crush armor strikes the tank inflicting 120% normal
melee damage and reduces the targets armor by 10%, lasts 20 seconds and stacks up to 10 times.
This ability is negated with another ability he has called The earth consumes you. Morchock pulls everyone to him and you have to run out and hide behind some spikes as to avoid damage from black stuff that he puts on the ground. In this time the crush armor will wear off and be reset.
Morchok also has an ability called Resonating Crystal. this will put a crystal on the ground where you take 3 people and get close to it before it blows up to negate a lot of the damage. This can be pretty dangerous if it happens at the same time as a stomp, so try to have morchock 25 yards away from the crystal if possible, but isn’t entirely needed.
Lastly.. Collect loot and enjoy the fight. Its rather fun to play.
Boss 2: Warlord Zon’ozz
Hello and welcome to Naz’s raid guide of Normal Warlord Zon’ozz, the Second boss of 4.3 patch raid: Dragon Soul
Zon’ozz is a very fun fight which takes a small amount of practice to get used too. We used 3 healers due to how far everyone has to spread out. You also only need one tank for this fight.
The first ability I will talk about is the Void of unmaking.. This is a ball that tries to make it to the outside of the room, if it reaches the wall it will cause raid wide aoe and cause everyone to fly into the air. This is the most vital mechanic to this fight. To deal with it you need to have a ranged player with a personal damage reduction or 2-3 players to soak the balls hit. You need to bounce the ball between melee and ranged for 6-7 hits then let it hit the boss. This will cause a massive damage buff onto the boss so that you can dps him down harder. He takes 5% increased damage for each time the ball had bounced.
Once the ball hits him you move into phase 2 this is a massive aoe phase, make sure a healer uses a cool down to make it through the phase safely. After this phase its rinse and repeat.
An ability that healers need to look out for is Disrupting shadows, this will Deals 33392 to 38807 Shadow damage every 2 seconds. This needs to be dispelled pretty quickly due to the high damage it causes.
The boss himself has 2 abilities, one is called focused anger which he slowly gains which increases his damage and attack speed by 10 % per stack.. this stacks up very slowly.. we were on 3 stacks by 50% health .
His last ability is called Psychic drain.. it deals dealing 111000 to 129000 Shadow damage and heals the boss for 10 x that amount. This ability you don’t really have to worry about. It gave us no issues at all.
Boss 5: Ultraxion
Hey I was watching your Ultraxion fight and i was just curiose if you used only 2 heals??
Looked like it by the recount on your screen. Just asking this because my guild was working on it today and we felt that we were a little to low on the dps with 3 heals.
thx
Yeah mate
Just 2 healers. Resto druid and holy pally. We didn’t have a problem
